Video: Swiss Matura Project About Bloggers and Their Motivations

In his video report “Bloggerfilm”, Michael Eugster addresses important questions such as: What is a blogger? What types of blogs are there? What is the appeal of blogging? For his Swiss Matura project, he interviewed a number of bloggers and combined their answers into a documentary.

The film first explains what bloggers and blogs are and what types of blogs exist. Several bloggers then answer the following questions:

Are blogs important?
What is the best thing about blogs?
What is the appeal of blogging?

The Future Between Facebook and Twitter

The filmmaker also looks at corporate blogs and asks Simon Künzler of xeit.ch, Tom Brühwiler (bloggingtom.ch) and Ralph Hutter of pixelfreund.ch why companies blog. Unfortunately, Ralph Hutter is sometimes very difficult to understand because the background music is mixed a little too loudly. That does not combine particularly well with Swiss German – at least not for me and my Bavarian.

Finally, the bloggers interviewed give their views on the future of blogs in the age of Facebook and Twitter. Best just watch it yourself!
