Freenet Funk: Mobile Service and LTE Flat Rate for One Euro a Day | heise online
Freenet’s new mobile tariff can be booked and cancelled on a daily basis. For one euro per day, you get a genuine LTE flat rate – but there is a catch.
I use an o2 prepaid SIM as a fallback in case our internet provider goes down. That costs me €5 for 24 hours including 25 GB. In principle, this new Freenet tariff would be the cheaper solution.
As far as I understand it, however, Freenet only allows you to pause the service for 14 days at a time.
That makes the o2 prepaid SIM more attractive again: it only needs a tiny top-up every six months to keep it “alive”.
