Simply incredibly cool: students at the University of Kaiserslautern, together with their lecturer Thomas Wagner, connected an Oculus Rift headset to a roller coaster at Europa-Park Rust. Special software was developed for Rift and sensors were attached to the roller-coaster cars.
This makes it possible to race through a fantasy world on a flying horse, dive virtually in a submarine or experience a space shooter even more intensely. Of course, it was only an experiment. But according to engadget.com, it could become possible in future to ride a roller coaster at Europa-Park itself using Oculus.
