They enter their address at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.o2.de\/netz\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">www.o2.de\/netz<\/a> and receive near-real-time information about the nearest base stations. O2 has also made its network-coverage maps more precise.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Live Check<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new Live Check examines the six nearest O2 base stations and shows how they are operating. If there really is a service restriction \u2013 for example because a network component has failed, new tree branches are interfering with a microwave link, or a mobile cell is overloaded \u2013 Live Check provides information about it. The status is updated every half hour.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">O2 is continuously developing the new service. The next stage will be based on crowdsourcing: the more customers query a location, the faster and more accurate the diagnosis can become.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Live Check will soon also be available via an iPhone and Android app, as it is being integrated into the \u201cMein O2\u201d app. The customer service app will also include a speed test for checking the internet connection. Later, customers will also be able to report service restrictions through the app and receive feedback once they have been resolved.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Satellite and Street Views: New Network-Coverage Maps<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition to Live Check, O2 has improved its network-coverage maps. Customers can see the quality of indoor and outdoor 2G and 3G coverage for any location. Users can switch between street and satellite views, and conveniently zoom and move the map.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition to mobile base-station locations, the new maps also show O2 shops. LTE coverage will be added to the display later this year.
